Need for Speed : Pro Street is a racing experience like no other. For the first time, you're designing and building a car, competing in iconic locations from around the globe and battling in four distinct racing styles- grip, drag, drift and the all-new speed challenge. The atmosphere is electric - complete with energetic crowds, photo-realistic vehicles and billowing smoke - all designed to embody the pressure and intensity of the gladiatorial challenge known as Show Down. Need for Speed ProStreet is the realization of the power, aggression and rivalry that embodies street racing culture.

Customer Rating: Summary: Below Expectations Comment: This game was pretty much a disappointment. There wasn't anything special to it. The only good addition since the last Need For Speed was that your car can get damaged. No free roam or cop chases, quite frankly it bored me after about a week. Racing online is useless because of all the cheats that people use on the game. Since the price has been lowered to $19.99 then I would say it is worth purchasing but I purchased it for $59.99 at release and it was a waste of money.
Customer Rating: Summary: Wish there was a zero rating Comment: I guess its long time I put a review down. This is the worst NFS game ever and with underground coming out I figure I better post here too. I was soo excited for the release of this game, untill I played it. No cops, no extremely fast and crazy races... more like grand turismo if you ask me. You are stuck on a track there is no free roam and you must compete. There were a few cool things like the wheelie comps but after that gets boring the game is about done. In my opinion NFS could have skipped this one, going from Carbon to any other game in the series was a joke, but this one was just the worst I've ever seen. Enjoy it if you buy!
Customer Rating: Summary: I enjoyed this game!! Comment: This is probably one of the first racing games I have enjoyed. Most of them have too much motion, and I cannot play the games long at all. This game was much better and since I could adjust the view, I played this longer than I usually do. I own motor storm, and I do not like that game!! I wished the reviews could be separated by age group. You cannot get a valid idea of what the game is like when you have such a wide range of people reviewing the games. A 12 year old and a 60 year old are not going to appreciate the same qualities in a game, or anything else as far as that goes. The game is a keeper!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Garbage Comment: Complete waste of money. Bought it impulsively. Won't be able to get a refund, so I will toss it in the garbage. No surround sound. Cannot use siaxxis (sp?) controller to steer. Can't figure out how to set up second player -- the box says it's for 2 players. The name of the first player doesn't show up on the racer's screen. There has to be a better racing game out there.
Customer Rating: Summary: Buggy, unplayable Comment: The game itself is not that bad. Problem is that EA is delivering a beta and claiming its a finished game.
First time I put the disc on my ps3, I had to download a 730 MB update. Yes, that's right: 730mb. Even after the update, the game is still too buggy, I never saw anything like this on a videogame and i've been playing since the NES days.
During the race, sometimes the game stutters, and its easy to lose control if you're in a tight turn.
But what made me lose faith on this game is the fact that it hangs during situations, sometimes when you finish a race, it hangs. Now I can customize my cars! It hangs at the end. I pursched a BMW M3, customized it for 3 hours and bham, game hung, and I had to restart the game and lost all my customizations.
Its so frustrating, I gave up playing. It's not worth it.
The game itself is not that bad, it's not excellent, but the customizations, the aftermarket parts make the game interesting. Honestly, I dont miss the free roam, Burnout Paradise, which is focused on free roam, is so much better than need for speed for that...
The menus are totally confusing, the announcer is so in love with you, he says your name like 82 times per race. He's also pretty annoying after a few minutes. The graphics are playstation 2 style, not even close to the power of ps3. For example, the dust from other cars in front of you has absolutely no shade, no distance and no transparency. It's like seeying a 16bit graphic.
In a nutshell, this is one of the most frustrating games ever. I couldnt be more disapointed.
