Summary: Alexz release your own CD already!
Comment: Alexz Johnson is one of my favorite singers. There's just something about her voice that gets under my skin in a good way. Haunting ballad, upbeat pop songs, whatever type of song, she does it well and that's why I bought this album. That said, like the other reviewers, I was disappointed that only 4 songs were sung by Alexz. I don't dislike Corey Lee, as a matter of fact, I like the sassy edge her voice has, but at the same time she's no Alexz and this CD would've been better if more songs were from Alexz Johnson. Overall, the CD is good though and I don't regret buying it.

Comment: I must agree that the songs for this season were amazing. It seems like every year the writing just gets better. However being a huge Alexz Johnson fan I was very disappointed. Besides the four songs she sung the album sounded like a night at a karaoke bar. Great songs with mediocre singers. This soundtrack was really an injustice if you want to hear amazing songs sung by an amazing singer. Download the four songs Alex sung and let the rest go.

Comment: This cd was better than I thought it would be. When I found out that Alexz Johnson was not going to be singing all the songs, I had already bought the cd. After listening to it, it does sound a little bit better than I thought it would sound. Now, if only they could make a cd of all Alexz singing, that would be better.

Summary: Not as described...
Comment: There are 14 songs on this CD, and only 4 are sung by Alex Johnson! This does NOT qualify as a soundtrack because these songs have ben completely changed from how they were on the show.
Also, the description for this says that all songs were originally sung by Alexz, and that's not true. Cory Lee recorded No Shirt No Shoes for her CD, it was never on the show, and Cory Lee's character Karma recorded I Will Be the Flame for the show with a partial duet with Alexz in an episode. Cory also re-recorded Waste My Time which was a song on the FIRST season's soundtrack featuring a rap part. I would have MUCH rather heard Alex's version without the rap part which I had to edit out on my ITunes.
Don't buy this and maybe they won't get away with this for the season 4 soundtrack.

Summary: Mixed Review
Comment: I am such a instant star/ alexz johnson fan that I would have bought the cd if she only sang one song, so I am thankful for the 4 songs she did sing... they were amazing... as for the other 8 songs and artists they are not bad to listen to but they are not captivating like they would have been if alexz sang them how she sang them on the show, my favorite out of that bunch would be "love to burn" sang by Cory Lee, still though I am desperate for a alexz edition... I am disapointed but I do not regret buying the album, I am just hoping they will come out with alexz versions of the songs......
