Summary: Great solution to sleeping in a bright room.
Comment: When venetian blinds wiped out all use of the traditional "Pull-down Roll-up Window Shade" in the USA I was left with no way to get a good night sleep during the day. Room darkening blinds still do not seem to seal out the light enough. This mask was comfortable and let me sleep anywhere in an emergency, like in a car when the roomate is partying and the sun is about to come up, in a bedroom with venetian blinds before a night shift at work, or while the roomate does homework with the light on all night. Feels good sleeping on all sides.

Summary: Good, but not great
Comment: I've used this for about three weeks now, and while it's definitely an improvement over t-shirt on head, or towel on head, it still lets light into my eyes (I admittedly have a big head).

Also, it's kind of warm (very padded), so summertime without A/C is less fun.

Summary: By far the best I've ever tried
Comment: Because of a 30 year struggle with insomnia, I wear an eye mask to sleep every night. Over the years I've tried many eye masks, but this one by Lewis N Clark is by far the best I've found. It is soft and comfortable and built in such a way that it easily conforms to the many contours of the face around the eyes and nose. I've never found another mask that totally blocks out the light the way this one does without light-leaks around the nose, or anywhere else for that matter. I've tried more expensive ones that didn't work nearly as well nor were as comfortable as this one. This eye mask is simply the best!!!

Summary: Very pleased!
Comment: This is really comfortable and blocks the morning sun really well. The adjustable band is large and soft, very well made!

Summary: This mask might work for someone, but not me.
Comment: This huge, thick, puffy mask might be good for you, as long as none of the following apply to you:

1. You sleep on your side
2. You have difficulty breathing through your nose when you sleep
3. You have eyebrows

First of all, the mask wraps onto the sides of your head, so it's uncomfortable to lay on your side. You may find yourself shifting around at first. But, you'll eventually get to sleep.

Next, the big puffy cushion at the bottom is effective at keeping light out once you position it correctly, but it will also put pressure on your nostrils. This will be very bothersome if you have difficulty breathing through your nose at night. Make sure to wear your Breathe Right strips.

Finally, when I woke up, my eyebrows hurt. The mask, huge as it is, covers your eyebrows. As a result, it rubs your eyebrow hairs all night, shifting them around. After several hours of this, the eyebrows ache. This was the biggest problem. "The mask sure keeps the light out, but is this aching sensation worth it?!!"

Also, because this thing is so large and puffy, it will push on your eyes. When you blink, your eyelashes and lids will be rubbing against the mask.

If someone would design a comfortable pair of blacked-out swim goggles, I'd rather wear those. This thing is like wearing a pillow on your face with a strap.
