Summary: Uniden DECT 2080 - so far so good
Comment: We just recently purchased this phone and so far so good. We have had a Uniden system for four years and the batteries have now started to wear down so we decided to buy a new set and stayed with Uniden. The DECT 2080s appear to have excellent sound clarity and so far we have had no interference from our wireless system.
The phones are easy to set up and have many convenient features. One of the reviews we read said that the phone is limited on ring tones - which we found to be true - but that is not an issue with us. Not that it is a big deal, but my daughter wished that she could use her favorite number - which is three digits - for a security code. (The Uniden only allows a two digit number)
Answering machine was easy to set-up and use. Messages come in clear and creating a greeting was simple (my 8 year old daughter set it up). For the price and quality, we recommend them.

Summary: Worth the $$$
Comment: I bought the Uniden DECT 6.0 Cordless Digital Answering System for my mother-in-law and installed it and set it up for her. Easy to set up,good sound quality on the hand set and for the messages that record on the answer system.Having a second hand set really helps, installed it in her bedroom which is up a flight of stairs,she can answer the phone with out rushing down the stairs, dangerous for a 79 year old.She likes it, works for her,works for me,and my wife.Recommend, plus the Uniden customer service is the best I've had to deal with, at least that was my experience last year.

Summary: Not happy with this phone
Comment: Initially I was very happy with this phone. It had great reception. Recently, people started telling me that my part of the conversation was cutting in and out, although I could hear them fine. Then the answering machine started playing a high electronic squeal instead of a recorded message. I've also had the previously reported problem of the handset displaying "out of range" and cutting me off when I'm standing right next to the base. All-in-all, this has not been a good purchase.

Comment: Just bought this system and love it. Very clear, love the handset speaker phone, the phonebook was super easy to set up. I've not experienced any interference with this unit. Replaced an AT&T 622 system with this unit. Very good.

Summary: Finally, An Excellent Phone!
Comment: We have purchased many phones only to be disappointed by short battery life and static. Uniden has solved the problems! The Dect 6.0 phones are worth every penny. The phone is clear as a bell, excellent range and unbelievable battery life. The bells and whistles add additional assets. It is like having the features of a cell phone on the land line. Thank you, Uniden!
