At night this high powered green laser pointer can seemingly touch the stars up to 2 miles away (12,000 ft). The red will give you about 4000 ft. of distance. Compared to a red laser pointer, the green beam remains visible and penetrates the sky much farther as you might already know. Because of its particular spectrum you see the full laser beam not just the dot. This is the newest shape, design and multi-function laser pointer on the market today! Some white boards, LCD screens, monitors etc. only work with Red Laser Pointers and some screens only work with Green Laser Pointers, no more worries you have both in one unit! Green shoots from hell to breakfast. The distance is amazing. We shot it down the road at a (empty) building and had our own little light show from half a mile away.
Red is standard red. It's nothing special.
You can have them both on at the same time.
Con:
Included batteries stink and run down quickly.
Buttons are too easily depressed, which may cause you to fire it off when you don't intend to.
Scares my fish - wait, that's probably a pro and not a con, lol.

Comment: This a really great heavy duty laser pointer with super-bright green and red lights! My son shone it way down the street onto a neighbor's garage door about a 1/2 mile away (maybe even farther) and we could still see it clearly. Our cats go CRAZY with it (just don't shine it in anyone's eyes or into passing cars)! I would highly recommend it to those who have cats or for those who teach in a classroom setting. Have fun!
