It is truly an all purpose massage lotion, whether you're using it for deep tissue, Swedish, reflexology or other modalities. I agree that is does have a scent, but I find it pleasant and not at all over powering. Sometimes I add essential oils if I want to enhance my client's experience.

It spreads very well and requires a minimum of application for a large area. It also makes for smooth massage strokes with _just_ enough grab for deep work when needed. (My) skin absorbs this lotion evenly and not too quick. So, for massage work, it is very nice with one exception: it is NOT unscented. It does, indeed, carry its own unique scent that can be overpowering if you aren't prepared for it, at close quarters. While I did not find the scent to be offputting, it does tend to make me a bit stuffy in the nose after a short time.
