One of the most successful franchises in the videogame industry takes on a new attitude this spring as Incog Inc. Entertainment, the pioneers of the car-combat genre, will introduce Twisted Metal: Head-On for the Playstation 2. Complete with all the fast-paced vehicular combat and destruction that gamers have come to know and love, Twisted Metal: Head-On allows gamers to strap themselves into one of 14 lethal machines on wheels, equipped with machine guns, turbo boost and a special attack, unique to each vehicle. Once a vehicle is selected, gamers can take their road rage out on opponents in 12 unworldly arenas filled with numerous items of chaos including rockets, missiles and more. ESRB Rated T for Teen

Customer Rating: Summary: Great treat for TM fans Comment: Basically, Head On is the heir apparent to TM2: World Tour. It is a cranked up version of TM2 in all its fun and hammy glory. If you loved TM2 (not TM3-4!) or games like Vigilante 8 then you will really enjoy this.
The Lost levels and extras from the canceled TM: Black 2 are fun too, although there isn't much there, just the shell of a partially completed game.
The win videos from TM1 make this thing worth the price alone. They are live action movies from the early PlayStation 1 days--you can only imagine how cornball these things are. Trust me, you will get a few chuckles out of them.
Customer Rating: Summary: WELCOME BACK!! Comment: I've been waiting for a new TWISTED METAL for years and I was very happy when this came out...especially at the very low price! I enjoy the game for the most part. I'm not an avid gamer, so my needs aren't very sophisticated. All I know is that I have fun driving around, finding hidden areas and blowing things up good. The playing areas are larger than before and there are a lot more things to destroy. My only complaint with this game is that the end movies are kinda lame. I loved the care and detail with which the stories and charcters in Twisted Metal Black were presented. Here the movies make little sense and don't seem fit the characters very well. Also, the animation is disappointing. Then again, I just like to blow things up good.
Customer Rating: Summary: Old school feel Comment: Great Game. Has that old TM feel to it. Great service on shipping too. Got to love Amazon
Customer Rating: Summary: A Great PS2 Send-off... Comment: From the port of Twisted Metal: Head On to the "Lost" levels of Twisted Metal: Black 2, this is one great game. The addition of the documentary, the Sweet Tour (where you get to run around as Sweet Tooth) and the score download (Twisted Metal Symphony...which has over two hours of music from Twisted Metal 1, 2, Black and Head On) there's no way you can go wrong for the price.
The only downside to the game is that they could have done more with the "Lost" levels (that's the only reason I gave the game four stars instead of five). They lack the use of the connecting highways that were to be added to the franchise (probably to bolster sales for Twisted Metal PS3) and they lack any real story for the characters since these levels belong to the never released Twisted Metal: Harbor City (or TM: Black 2).
Overall a great game and worth every penny (and then some).
Customer Rating: Summary: TWISTED METAL: HEAD ON, EXTRA TWISTED EDITION Comment: I HAVE ALL OF TWISTED METAL GAMES FOR PLAYSTATION. TWISTESTED III IS BY FAR THE BEST, IN MY IN MY OWN OPINION. TWISTED METAL BLACK IS GOOD BUT THE GRAPHICS ARE TOO DARK. TWISTED METAL: HEAD ON IS MUCH LIKE TWISTED METAL BLACK, BUT WITH A LITTLE FAST PACE. I WOULD RECOMMEND PURCHASING THIS GAME
