Fast and Convenient: Measures temperature in one second in the ear. Accurate: The ear is an excellent site to measure temperature because the eardrum shares blood supply with the temperature control center in the brain. The Braun ThermoScan ear thermometer measures the infrared heat generated by the eardrum and surrounding tissue. To help ensure accuracy, the thermometer takes 8 measurements and displays the highest temperature. It includes Protective cap, 21 disposable lens filters, and 1 Duracell alkaline battery (1.5V (AAA, LR 03)) installed for immediate use. A new, clean lens filter helps ensure accurate readings.
