Clean stain resistant materials, but the important part is that this splits up to 5 outputs without sacrificing quality. I bought another brand form a popular depot and when I connected two devices I found that the signal was cut from stereo to mono. I didn't get a signal in the right ear...
Wasn't more expensive that the black item that gives half the output. Put your money where your ears are and get the right tool.

Comment: My daughter and her friends love to share ipod music. I've found it handy to listen to an electronic metronome and electronic music with the same headphones. Works great.
