The Making the Band franchise rolls on with the introduction of Donnie Klang. Following the hit-making paths of Danity Kane and Day26, who enjoyed back-to-back #1 debuts on the Billboard 200, Donnie is poised to be Making the Band' s next superstar. Donnie s journey began on the first season of Making the Band 4 where Bad Boy CEO Sean P. Diddy Combs awarded him a surprise solo contract based on incredible fan support that named him the viewer favorite. Making the Band 4' s second season chronicled the making of his debut album and growth as an artist.

Customer Rating: Summary: Just a Rolling Stone is the best r&b album from Bad Boy Records next to Danity Kane and Day26 albums. Comment: Please go out and get this album to make it #1 on top of the billboard charts. Don't write mean reviews about this album. If you don't like this album and you have a weird taste of R&B music. Go out and buy this album.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not feeling this........ Comment: I was amused to see Diddy sign this kid to a solo project so I thought, maybe this kid's got something I didn't see on the TV show, unfortunately, I was wrong in my judgement. My reviews will be unique because I evaluate an artist from all angles. Donny seems to be a good person and I find that his persona is his shining point, as for his music, unfortunately the translation of who he is and what comes out in the studio is two different things. Also to add, I like the fact that Donny can play piano and has some musical abilities and feel that maybe that's his wild card to keep him in the game in the future as he becomes better at writing his own music.
I feel he's being marketed as a Justin Timberlake clone and that saddens me because Timberlake is already overrated and boring. I was hoping that his album would be a mixture of R+B with some whiteboy flavor mixed in the gumbo, kind of like Jon B was in the 90's. I will add that this album is experimental for Diddy and I commend him for taking chances like this.
The song content however is boring to death in my opinion and like Danity Kane, you start to get confused between one song and another. This albums biggest flaw is the identity crisis of not knowing who he is as an artist so I consider this album an experiment as to what works and what doesn't. While this will be educational for Donny, I can't suggest a fan buy this album only to hear him experiment with these formulas. To keep it simple, this album is hit and miss, unfortunately mostly miss. Maybe an artist like Donny, with work, will find his niche and produce better albums in the future. If anything, his longevity in music could potentially be greater than Danity Kane if he plays his cards right. Good luck Donny!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: I expected a little more, but it's a start to a new beginning. Comment: I guess because of the last season of Making the Band, I expected more. I expected it to be hotter than JT's album, almost like a male version of Rihanna's latest album which is just outta this world & unique, but you know it's ok. Some tracks are not as good as I hoped for and some are body movin' & play it over and over tracks. It's just the beginning people. Each album will be hotter than the other. I hear a lot of potential in his voice. God blessed him with a gift that some of us don't have (even though many of you think you have it... haha). He just needs a better team to work with him. Keep it up Donnie & God bless you!! [Oh just to mention, I gave it four stars outta five because I found it odd that the CD didn't include the full track 'just a rolling stone'. Pretty odd for being it's the title of the album.]
Customer Rating: Summary: GREAT ALbum!! JT WATCH OUT Comment: Ok this album exceeded my expectations.
I have day 26 and danity kane's album also.
i would have to rank this album better than danity kanes album and about tie day 26's album
DR LOVE - great contender song/beat to my love of J.T.
TAKE YOU THERE - doesnt showcase great vocals but good song kinda sounds like sexy back from J.t.
HOLLYWOOD GIRL- song a bout girls that live the hollywood life (rich)
great sing along chorus
NOT A LOVE SONG- really grew on me listening to it right now. song builds up to a great catchy chorus.
YOUR MY IDOL - song that it VERY emotional sounding very beautiful.
PICK IT UP - another single sounding song it just might be his next. Song about picking a girl up when shes down.(not literally)
WHICH ONE- Song about him creeping and cant decide who to pick .Damn didnt think he would make a song like this already in the big leagues creativity wise.
Some are throw away tracks to me like love in stereo but overall album is 9/10 for me BUY THIS!! he only sold 20k first week thats ridiculous support good music.
Customer Rating: Summary: Grows On You Comment: At first, it does appear that Just a Rolling Stone is mediocre. However, as you listen to the CD, it has very catchy and nice tunes. Among my favorite is "Catch My Breath", which is such a beautiful tribute to love at first sight and contains nice acoustic guitar sounds. This album at first glance does not have the WOW factor but does grow on you with each listening. I think this album is worth having in your collection.
