Comment: It's surprising that this shutter is made by the same company that makes the Ventamatic CX1500 attic fan. The fan is top notch, while the shutter is very flimsy and cheaply made. Also the pieces that hold the louvers fall out. Don't waste your money buying this shutter. I had to throw away the one I bought and buy a different one from Home Depot.
Save yourself disappointment. Don't buy this shutter.

Comment: What a pice of junk. The frame is thin flexible plastic, possibly a PVC, and the louvers are very thin aluminum which pivot on plastic nubs. It arrived with three louvers loose in the box with the nubs snapped off. The vendor un-charged my card with no questions.
Had it arrived intact I would have returned it anyway as it is substandard for my application. I would rate it zero stars but Amazon apparently requires at least one.
