Summary: Starts slow, but gets better
Comment: I love SimCity, so I was eager to try this version for the DS. As some other people have said, the controls are a little difficult to figure out at first. Once I figured out that I could use the buttons to scroll around instead of moving the stylus over the screen, that part became much easier. In the first time period, you have to be careful to put things exactly where you want them because you can't dezone or demolish (although there is an undo button). Dezoning and demolishing are possible in later time periods though.
Once I figure out the little quirks, it plays pretty much like SimCity for the PC. Overall, it seems to be a pretty fun game.

Comment: only been playing it a couple of days. if you've played sim city ds, you'll find this similar, so it helps with the controls. no problem there.
as usual, you worry about population, industry, and food. start out hunting and gathering. then go to the middle ages.
glad i bought it.
