Comment: this is my first TMII and bought it for the laptop. Great product but loses a start for
- It has 3 angles only so I decided to use it flat (I would like a slight incline in between flat and the medium)
- the mighty mouse tends to run rough on the surface (the reason I chose the wood grain to use the optical mouse).

Summary: The good, the bad, and the ugly
Comment: THE GOOD: Brookstone did send this to me reasonably quickly.
However, the item is not quite up to par to use as a laptop table, as the item has been tagged for.
THE BAD: The table is not adjustable (as said in previous reviews), but be forewarned, I've come to the conclusion that the user's height has nothing to do with this. Previous reviewers have mentioned that its un-adjustable legs are a problem for shorter individuals; the tray sits to high and they need to sit on something to make it the proper height. Just so you know... my husband is close to 6 feet tall and this tray was still not at the right height to use a laptop on. It's a wrist injury waiting to happen! If you have carpal tunnel, stear clear of this item for sure! Frankly, I can't see using this thing for a snack table either. It's just too high by a few inches.
THE SECOND BAD: When you receive this item, it does require some minimal assembly. However, the tray table has some already-attached jointing that is supposed to fit into the legs and then be bolted in place. The attached jointing is attached to the table via some long screws. When I received mine, those screws appear to have been a bit too long for the job because they pierced the back pencil edging (see picture) and split it in two.
THE UGLY: The instructions show you how to put this together, which involves placing those bolts I previously mentioned thru two pre-drilled holes to securely hold the table top to the legs. 2 bolts...2 holes... one on each side (or each leg). Pretty simple. Problem is, my unit only had 1 pre-drilled hole on 1 side! My husband had to take his drill and make a hole thru the metal jointing on the other side!
One other thing.... if your latop is a lighter weight unit, for example a Sony Viao or a thin notebook, then this table will probably be more than secure to hold your laptop. HOWEVER, if your laptop is a larger unit, for example an Alienware Gaming PC..... I really don't suggest using this table to go on an 8 hour gaming spree while siting on your couch. It'll hold the laptop...and the brackets are very strong so they won't give way... but the table itself does wobble a bit.
The unit also does not slide up to you very well while on carpeting. And I don't have ultra thick carpeting either. You literally have to pick the unit up and move it.... or shimmy it back and forth. Either option is not a good idea when a laptop is already sitting on it. It would be nice if the under-chair legs had sliders on them to make this easier.
BOTTOM LINE..... it's not worth the money, and I highly suggest looking elsewhere for something to use as a out-of-the-way laptop table.

Comment: I would by another one of these tables!! Table is very easy to put together. It looks good in brown wood and is very convenient by slipping under the sofa to pull up to you or slip the legs under the otterman to leave the area and not have table in others way.The slanting top is great for laptops....Also, the delivery was fast!!!!

Comment: Well made product at a good price. However, it doesn't have a height adjustment. I use it as a laptop table while sitting on the couch. For proper height, I have to sit on a large pillow. The fixed height works fine while sitting in a straight chair though not comfortable. If this product had a height adjustment, it would be an outstanding laptop table and would be a top selling item."
