Website MistakesWe all know mistakes occur on the Internet. Sometimes these website errors occur as a result of laziness, other times they occur because of technical reasons. Sometimes these website goofs lead to interesting results. This section will display some of the more entertaining errors myself and other Internet users have encountered. As always, you can submit your own sightings. Just email a screenshot or a link to the address below.

This first mistake occured as a result of the massive suckfest that is the 2005 National League West. ESPN.com's MLB standings apparently did not consider the fact that a division leader may have a sub-.500 record. Thus, ESPN.com ended up displaying this:

Yup. That's the San Diego Padres, in 1st place in the division, but a half game behind themselves. Well done, ESPN. Your sports coverage is accurate and of first-class quality as always.
The next day, the San Diego Padres lost again and ended up a game behind themselves (see below). The error still had not been fixed by this point. The problem was corrected by the time the Arizona Diamondbacks took the division lead the next day. But we don't care about ESPN.com correcting their mistakes, just about them making them.
